Are you interested in robotics?
Thinking about joining but want more experience first? Or are you in robotics and want to level up your tech skills?
If you’re a girl or a trans/gender fluid/non-binary youth in middle or high school, this is the camp for you! Being in tech ourselves, we know that being in an environment where you’re “different” is hard without a community…especially if you feel like you don’t know as much as the others. We’re creating an experience where you will learn the essentials and beyond from awesome and supportive peers.
You’ll get:
- A brief overview of robotics (in particular, FIRST robotics)
- A lot of hands-on learning and practice
- A group of young women (and other supportive youth) to cheer you on in your robotics journey (and vice versa!)
- A fun weeklong experience
Sessions will include workshops on coding, hardware, 3D printing, laser cutting, and of course how the FIRST program works. We’ll have specific tracks for both FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) and FRC (FIRST Robotics Challenge). We’ll also do a tour of the PCC Rock Creek campus, including meeting their farm animals and doing a relaxing walk in the wilderness area behind campus.
The cost is only $150 for the week with scholarships available, and food is provided. The camp is first come, first served, so sign up now!
